🗓️ We play every Monday evening, from 7:30 pm to around 10:30 pm, at the
Battersea Labour Club, 81–83 Falcon Road, SW11 2PF.
🚉 Just a short 5-minute walk from Clapham Junction Station (Grant Road exit).
⏰ Players are advised to arrive by 7:20 pm so that we can make a prompt start.
🤝 Come along for a relaxed but competitive evening of Bridge in great company!

| 🏆 Club Competitions & Annual Awards |
At the Monday Bridge Club, we like to combine friendly rivalry with genuine camaraderie. Our members enjoy a year packed with well-run competitions that recognise skill, consistency, and enthusiasm for the game. From pairs events and individual challenges to prizes for the most improved players, each competition offers a chance to shine — and to share in the spirit that makes our club so special. All results contribute towards our End-of-Year Prize Awards, when we celebrate the winners and reflect on another enjoyable season of Bridge in Battersea.
🎖️ The Salver - Our flagship pairs competition, held across the year — usually on the first Monday of each month. Pairs finishing above halfway earn points based on their position, with each pair’s best six scores counting toward the final total.
🏅 Prizes awarded to the top six pairs.
💎 The Goblet - An individual competition running from January to mid-December. Every match-pointed pairs event (except first Mondays and the Club Championships) contributes to your standing.
Designed to encourage members to mix and play with different partners, only two results per partner count toward your best ten scores.
🏅 Prizes for the top six members.
🌱 Improver’s Prize - A year-round event (February–December) recognising the most improved player based on the highest percentage increase in NGS rating over at least 15 sessions.

We also have a very practical WhatsApp group 📱, which has become the easiest way for members to communicate with each other throughout the week. It’s especially helpful if you ever need a partner 🤝 — simply post a short message, and it will be seen by most of the group 👀.
The group isn’t busy or noisy; it’s just reliable and effective ✔️. Members check it regularly, and someone will usually respond if they’re available or know someone who is. It means that nobody needs to miss an evening of bridge just because they’re short of a partner 🃏.
A quick message is usually all it takes to sort out a partner for the evening 💬✔️.

As we play within the Battersea Labour Club, visitors and members are kindly reminded that 🚫 bringing your own drinks is not permitted under the club’s rules. Please support the venue — the 🍺 bar is well stocked and very reasonably priced, making it easy to enjoy a relaxed drink before and during play 🃏.
