These events run at Spondon Old School on the first Tuesday each month (sometimes 2nd Tuesday), from 11am to 16:15. They are "Blue Point" Events.

| Josephs Bowl Competition 25th Nov 2026 |
LCBA is now taking entries for the Josephs Bowl, Leicestershire's premier teams of 4 knockout competition. The entry form is on the LCBA website; please follow this link:

The first round will be held at County Bridge Club on Wednesday 25 November, starting at 7.00 pm. It is likely, depending on size of entry, that the pairs finishing in the top four places will be placed in the semi-finals for the Josephs bowl, with the rest of the field being placed in the Butterworth Langley Trophy, which is the plate competition. Non-expert teams may enter the Butterworth Langley direct; please indicate on the entry form if you wish to do that.
The winners of the Josephs Bowl will be invited to represent Leicestershire in the Pachabo Cup, a national competition run by the EBU in June 2027.
The entry form is also on the website for the Pairs League, which will start in February 2027. Finally, if you would like to consider representing Leicestershire in the Midlands Counties League, the next opportunity is on Sunday 15th November against Staffs and Shropshire. This will be played on RealBridge. Unfortunately there will be no 9 High fixture this time, but if you are interested please sign up via the link above.
