A date for your diaries - July 5th, starting 1pm, in Ashley Village.

MHBC will be hosting a summer garden party for members and spouses/partners.

It will include a superb buffet with various salads , meats, salmon etc followed by several desserts and cheese and biscuits. Then tea / coffee and biscuits later. All served by the caterers.

Plus -  a local excellent singer for the afternoon
 
The cost will be £20 per person 

Soft drinks included but feel free to bring a bottle along!

In case of bad weather we have the village hall in Ashley in reserve.

We are an active friendly bridge club serving Market Harborough and its surrounding area. We meet to play duplicate bridge in the Conservative Club on Fairfield Road, Market Harborough on Monday and Thursday evenings between 6.50 pm and 10 pm.
Members pay a small annual subscription of £20, visitors are always welcome. 

If you play bridge and would like to have a trial game, but don't have a partner, please contact  secretary@mhbridge.com who will try to find you an appropriate partner.

Visiting pairs should also contact the Secretary, who will advise and if appropriate book them in. Or pairs can just turn up on a Thursday evening.

On Monday evenings we aim to play 24 boards. We operate a booking system for members up to a week ahead via this website. A member can book for a non-member to partner them. Visitors welcome, please contact us at enquiries@mhbridge.com

On the first week of each month results count towards our handicap competition for the Jean Pringle Trophy. And on the third Monday results count towards the "scratch" club championship for the Bill Carter Trophy. All results are submitted to the EBU for the National Grading Scheme and award of Masterpoints.

Table money is £5 for members, £6 for non-members.

On Thursday evenings we have a more relaxed session, playing no more than 21 boards. No booking is required - just turn up and play. As for Mondays, all results are submitted to the EBU for the National Grading Scheme and award of Masterpoints.

Those needing a partner can use the automated system on this website. But if you prefer the human touch, Stella Joyce is happy to help. Call her on 07710 581133.

We run lessons for new players on Wednesday evenings in Market Harborough. The current course series started in January 2026. Click here for more information, including how to register for next year's series

For those wanting a more relaxed session of duplicate bridge, we recommend the “Breakaway Bridge Club”, which now meets on a WEDNESDAY morning at 9.45am (for a 10am start). in the Baptist Church Market Harborough.
They typically play 18 boards (duplicate bridge), in a relaxed atmosphere. This is an independent group (non-EBU). There is no membership fee, with table money of £4 per person.  Players don't need to come with a partner, they will try to find one for you on the day.

They also have a WhatsApp Group called "Wednesday Bridge" for finding partners. Please contact Stella Joyce (stellafjoyce@gmail.com) for more information.

Anyone can post a "Partner Needed" request for any forthcoming session via the "Bookings Calendar" tab. Members can also join our "WhatsApp" group to message others in the group. If you are not in the WhatsApp group but would like to be, contact us via the club email address.
