The Herefordshire Clubs Pairs online sessions are held every Thursday evening on BBO and are open to all members of clubs in Herefordshire and neighbouring counties. Please visit the HBA website for information on how to play in these events.

Herefordshire Bridge Association are running the following programmes of events. More details and all entry forms are also on the HBA website. Please support these special competitions. 

Programme of events for 2026/27 season

• No Fear Teams on 31st October hosted by Marches BC
• Championship Pairs on 13th February hosted by Wellington Heath BC
• No Fear Pairs on 27th February hosted by Birches BC
• Avocet Cup on 17th April hosted by Marcle B

Inter-County Events

• The Western League has an A, B, and C divisions for teams of four from Avon, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, East Wales, Herefordshire, Somerset and Wiltshire playing 24 board matches on RealBridge on seven Saturday afternoons. The first round of the 2026/27 season will be on 26th September.
• The Tollemache Cup is a national inter-county event run by the EBU for teams of eight, with a qualifying round in November followed by a final in the new year.
• The Midland Counties Bowl (teams of four) and Edgar Foster Cups (pairs) are inter-county events for players from Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Staffs & Shrops, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. The Midland Counties Bowl is normally held in June and the Edgar Foster in September. They are two session events held on a Sunday.
• There are also national inter-county events where primary HBA members can qualify from HBA events – the Championship Pairs is a qualifier for the Corwen, the in-house League for the Pachabo, the Interclub Teams of Eight (if held) for the Garden Cities and the No Fear Pairs for the Nine High Corwen.

Herefordshire County Bridge Association would like to attract pairs of club standard to represent the County in Western League matches against other Midlands counties. 

• You do not need primary allegiance to Herefordshire
• Matches are usually staged online using RealBridge on a Saturday afternoon
• Matches are 24 boards
• Usually last around 3 hours
• The county has A, B and C teams, and will endeavor to find a match for all interested pairs.
