The club's competition season begins in October.  It comprises seven sessions of Championship Pairs alternating with seven of Positional Pairs.  These are followed by two more pairs competitions: seven sessions of Cross-IMP pairs alternating with seven of Handicap Pairs.

The member with the best average position in those four events is awarded the Goodall Trophy.

The remainder of the season is taken up with the Summer Pairs in which players are individually handicapped and many play with a number of different partners.  A trophy is awarded to the player with the best average score.
