- Play starts at 1.30pm. Please arrive to be seated at least 5 minutes earlier.
- Entry to the bridge room should preferably be via the side door (Fire Door) to the right of the club house. Please use the ramp which has no steps, or enter via the Bourne main entrance, which does have steps. Coats should be left in the lobby and not taken into the club room.
- On entry, please check the table plan to see where you will be sitting, take a score card if you use one and go to your seat as quickly as you can, so as not to cause congestion in the room while others are arriving.
- Please note that windows will usually be open in the club room to allow reasonable ventilation of the room. Please dress accordingly!!
- Table money is collected using a bank card reader, please bring a bank payment card or equivalent with you, in order to pay on arrival. (Members £2/Visitors £3 in 2026)
- The boards will be placed on the tables and will have already been dealt.
- Please switch off mobile phones (except scorers) or turn to “silent”. Please do not use “airplane mode” as this does not block notification sounds.
- Please do not start play until the director says.
- Scoring of each board should normally be entered into the mobile phone APP, BriAn, by North, and checked by East. A Scorer will be available in case assistance is required.
- At the end of each round, North passes the boards down to the next table while East and West move up to the next table. (Specific movements may require variations)
- At the end of the last round, please shuffle all the cards in each board on your table before you leave. (If the fire door is closed, please use switch on opposite wall to open it. Do NOT press the fire alarm switch!)
- Results are viewed on the mobile phone app at the end of each session, but may have to be adjusted by the scorer. Once finalised the results are published on our website, normally the same day: www.bridgewebs.com/maltings
