| Transfer and Stayman Practice 2026 |
To follow up Stage 2 Lessons there will be practice sessions for Transfers and Stayman in July 2026
You do not need a partner to attend these sessions.
If you have attended previously, and would like to attend again, just change direction and you will be bidding the other hands.
Each session will consist of a short review of the convention, card play where every hand is set up to practice the convention.
Then a review of the results to see if bidding was consistent across tables.
Where there is inconsistency in bidding, the hands will be bid as a group for reinforcement of the concepts.
Dates and Times:
Transfers: Tuesday 7 July 2026. 9.15 am for a 9.30 am start.
Stayman: Thursday 9 July 2026. 9.15 am for a 9.30 am start.
Cost: Nil for Financial members of MBC. $10 per session for non-members.
No Masterpoints will be allocated to these sessions.

| RKC lesson and Slam bidding Practice session |
Ken Evans will be presenting his lesson on Roman Key Card to support slam bidding.
This will be followed by a session where all hands will be slams, that have previously been played at our club.
You do not need a partner to attend this practice session and you can use any slam bidding technique you use with your partner, e.g. Gerber, Blackwood, Roman Key Card.
Dates and Times:
Roman Key Card Lesson: Thursday 16 July 2026. 9.45 am for a 10.00 am start.
Slam bidding practice session Tuesday 21 July 2026. 9.15 am for a 9.30 am start.
Cost: Nil for Financial members of MBC. $10 per lesson/session for non-members.
No Masterpoints will be allocated to these sessions

| MAITLAND BRIDGE CLUB |
Maitland Bridge Club was formed in 1975 and has been steadily growing to its present membership of 168.
We play 6 Sessions a Week (Mon-Sat) including Tuesday evening and Saturday afternoon.
Maitland is in the heart of the Hunter Valley and attracts players from Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Cessnock, Singleton and outlying areas.
Visitors are most welcome but must be booked to play at a Session.
