Update: If you want to learn to play bridge, send an email with your name and phone number to DavidN640@yahoo.com. We plan to offer more bridge classes in Macon starting on  Monday, January 13, 2025. The classes run several weeks and go from 6 pm to 8 pm. We currently have a group of students going through classes that started in January this year. The classes are held at the club in Macon, Georgia.  The material covered will allow you to play duplicate bridge at the club or fun bridge at home. Join us.

The next three Sectional tournaments to be held at our bridge club are: January 10-12, 2025, an Open Sectional; March 14-16, 2025, a Non-Life Master tournament for new & intermediate players with fewer than 750 master points; and August 8-10, 2025, an Open tournament for all players. All these tournaments have pairs and team events. The Open tournaments also have a 299er game. Please join us for these great tournaments that pay silver points. 

Please join us any Monday at 1 pm, Tuesday at 6:30 pm, Friday at 1 pm, or Saturday at 1 pm for our regular face-to-face games. Bring a partner, or call our partnership chair. Please try to arrive at the club about 15 minutes before the game so the director knows how many tables there are and so that you can meet the other players.

The Saturday game has had a small turnout lately, so we're using a reservation system to ensure that we have enough pairs. The signup sheet is on the front table at the club, or you could contact the director, usually David.

On Fridays, we can have a separate Novice section if there are enough Novice players. Talk to the director. They will set up a novice section if the novice players want it.

We have a new Partnership Chair. Her name is Shelly Tuer!  Call Shelly if you need a partner, and she'll try to help you. Her phone is 478-320-7491.

Some of us gather online to play in the "Macon/SE Carolina" online bridge game on Wednesdays at about 7:05 pm. Sometimes there are enough players to have a game, sometimes not. You'll need a partner for this one, too.

We continue to offer an online game every Wednesday at 7 pm on BridgeBase.com.  Please join us. We're a part of the SE Carolina group and welcome visitors. Like other ACBL approved virtual club games, we pay black master points to the winners.  If the game has five or more pairs registered, it will start. Don't miss it. Please sign in early. Actually, the game often starts 5 to 7 minutes after 7pm. There are two limited master point games that start at about 7:00 and 7:03 before our game starts. Log into Bridgebase.com, go to Virtual Clubs, and then search for "Macon" or "SE Carolina".

You can become a member of the Macon Duplicate Bridge Club for just $10 per year. We collect these annual dues from all the local bridge players in December or January for each calendar year.

When you are on the membership list, you will get regular emails from us announcing our events, parties, and special games. Also, you can play at the discounted member price.

Many of our avid bridge players do not like to drive at night.  So....  Jeanette Goode and Gary Meadors have volunteered to be the official contact for Tuesday evening players.  If you need or want a ride on Tuesday evening, reach out to one of them to arrange your Bridge UBER (BUBER) !!  How awesome they are willing to do this.

During the three seminars, supervised practice hands will be played.

We added a Novice section to our Friday afternoon game. We've been having 2 to 4 tables in the section every week. If you are new to bridge, want to play with newer players, or feel you want to sharpen your skills, please join us every Friday afternoon at 1:00pm. We'll still have our Open section as well, assuming that at least 4 pairs of players are in attendance. So, If you like to play with other people who have fewer than 200 masterpoints, show up Friday afternoon at about 12:40 pm, sign up for the novice section, and join the fun. Bob usually directs on Fridays.
