| May is for Mentoring |
During May 2026, we'll be a part of May is For Mentoring, a Unit 114 program that encourages Life Master players to mentor new players and the Unit will cover the cost of the Life Master playing. So If you're a new player, seek out Life Masters to help your game. If you're a Life Master, look for new players to help and encourage. Lots of fun for everyone!

| Learn to play bridge |
Update: If you want to learn to play bridge, send an email with your name and phone number to DavidN640@yahoo.com. We plan to offer more bridge classes in Macon starting in January 2026. The classes run several weeks and go from 6 pm to 8 pm on Monday nights.. We currently have a group of students going through classes that started in January this year. The classes are held at the club in Macon, Georgia. The material covered will allow you to play duplicate bridge at the club or fun bridge at home. Join us. It's fun and it can become a lifelong passion involving club play, home play, tournaments, and more.

| Upcoming Tournaments |
The next Sectional tournaments to be held at our bridge club are: August 7-9, 2026, an Open Tournament; Jan 15-17, 2027, an Open Tournament; March 19-21, 2027 a Non-Life Master Sectional; and August 6-8, 2027, an Open Tournament. Pairs games and team games every time. Don't miss these opportunities.

| Regular Bridge Games |
Please join us any Monday at 1 pm, Tuesday at 6:30 pm, Friday at 1 pm, or Saturday at 1 pm for our regular face-to-face games. Bring a partner, or call our partnership chair. Please try to arrive at the club about 15 minutes before the game so the director knows how many tables there are and so that you can meet the other players.
The Saturday game has had a small turnout lately, so we're using a reservation system to ensure that we have enough pairs. The signup sheet is on the front table at the club, or you could contact the director, usually David.
On Mondays we have a big game open to all players.
On Tuesdays, in addition to the open section, we've been having a 0-149 masterpoint novice section.
On Fridays, in addition to the open section, we have a 0-199 masterpoint novice section.
On Saturdays we have a regular bridge game open to all.
We have a new Partnership Chair. Her name is Shelly Tuer! Call Shelly if you need a partner, and she'll try to help you. Her phone is 478-320-7491.
Some of us gather online to play in the "Macon/SE Carolina" online bridge game on Wednesdays at about 7:05 pm. Sometimes there are enough players to have a game, sometimes not. You'll need a partner for this one, too.

| Membership |
You can become a member of the Macon Duplicate Bridge Club for just $25 per year. We collect these annual dues from all the local bridge players in December or January for each calendar year.
When you are on the membership list, you will get regular emails from us announcing our events, parties, and special games. Also, you can play at the discounted member price.
If you think you are a member, but are not getting regular emails, please contact us at DavidN640@yahoo.com, and we'll check it out.

| Night Time Driving and rides to the Bridge games. |
Many of our avid bridge players do not like to drive at night. So.... Jeanette Goode and Gary Meadors have volunteered to be the official contact for Tuesday evening players. If you need or want a ride on Tuesday evening, reach out to one of them to arrange your Bridge UBER (BUBER) !! How awesome they are willing to do this.

Seminar three: frequently used bridge conventions
During the three seminars, supervised practice hands will be played.

| Novice Section added to Friday's games |
We added a Novice section to our Friday afternoon game. We've been having 2 to 4 tables in the section every week. If you are new to bridge, want to play with newer players, or feel you want to sharpen your skills, please join us every Friday afternoon at 1:00pm. We'll still have our Open section as well, assuming that at least 4 pairs of players are in attendance. So, If you like to play with other people who have fewer than 200 masterpoints, show up Friday afternoon at about 12:40 pm, sign up for the novice section, and join the fun. Bob usually directs on Fridays.
