| J.H.S Law Trophy and Charity Competition |
 Loreburn Bridge Club held its annual J.H.S. Law Trophy and Charity Competition today.
The match was closely contested - 14 pairs battling it out, having an enjoyable afternoon's bridge and raising £391 for this years worthy charity - Prostate Buddies D&G.
This years winners were Eva Adamson and Sheila Robertson and the runners up were Jo Lauder and Kate Kerr.
Thanks to everyone who helped make it a success - everyone who made a donation, gave raffle prizes, made traybakes and tablet, took part, TD'd and all the committee.

| Annual Eden v. Loreburn Teams Competition |
 Sunday 8th March 2026 saw Eden Bridge Club teams coming to Dumfries to play the annual teams competition against Loreburn.
Many of the players on both teams regularly play against each other on the regular weekly Eden Loreburn BBO match but it was nice to put faces to the names.
A lovely day of bridge was had by all.
Eden retained the cup - congratulations to Eden teams and commiseration to our Loreburn teams who gave a good account of themselves but were beaten on the day.
Thanks again to Abbie for being TD for the match, to everyone playing for the club, to Hilary for liaising with Eden to arrange the match and to Kathleen for helping with the lunches and setup, and to Kate and John for offering to play as subs if required.

| 2026 McGowan Cup |
McGowan Cup - 7th Feb 2026
We held a successful McGowan Cup event again this year with 7 1/2 tables competing for the cup.
Our thanks go to TD - Eileen Cowan and Scorer - Hilary Jack and to all the committee for their hard work.

Winners today were Beth Marshall and Eileen Cowan in the centre of the picture with runners up Kate Gardiner and Sue Jenner.
