| Details about the LDBC |
If you want to come along one Wednesday you might like to call Nigel Bruce on 020 7622 6436 who will arrange for your name to be put on our guest list. Or, you can just turn up on the night. At present we do not operate a rota list for partners, but partners are always available if you would like one. There are usually players in the downstairs bar from 7:00 p.m. - the door staff will point us out. Introduce yourself - we look forward to seeing you ....
New members of all standards (except absolute beginners) are welcome to our friendly sociable evenings. Knowledge of duplicate, bidding boxes, etc. is expected, but our members do vary in their levels of proficiency at the game. You do not need to be a member of the Civil Service Club to play or enjoy its facilities on a Wednesday when joining us. The Civil Service Club has an excellent bar offering a full range of drinks at very reasonable prices. There is also bar food available for those who want something to eat before the game.
