Mary Crocker

Mary Crocker was born in Jackson, MS.  At age 7, her family moved to Mobile, AL which is where she grew up.  Some of her best memories include the great seafood, Mardi Gras celebrations, quick access to Gulf Coast beaches, fishing and crabbing in Mobile Bay and awesome weather.  Mary attended the University of South Alabama for a year and then transferred to Mississippi State where she graduated with a degree in Biochemistry. Mary works for The Juice Plus+ Company, where she is responsible for Product Quality.  This leads her to the best part of her job – the travel!  She gets to visit/audit the company's contract manufacturers.  This regularly takes her to California, Arizona, South Carolina and Illinois.  She also travels to Europe to visit their European manufacturers about once a year.  Prior to Juice Plus+ she worked 25 years for a chemical company named Ciba Geigy which was eventually bought out by BASF.  She began in a plant north of Mobile and transferred to a plant in West Memphis in 2004, which is how she made it to Collierville.

Mary has 2 daughters, Cullen and Emme, ages 27 and 25.  Cullen is a nurse at a pediatric hospital in Atlanta and Emme is an attorney at a firm in East Memphis.  Mary's husband passed away in a boating accident when the girls were young.  Her mother, Nancy, is 93 years young and drives herself to the bridge center 3 times a week to not only play but help with lessons. Her mother also plays online 2-3 times a week.  When her Mom retired, she took up duplicate bridge and now has almost 2800 masterpoints.  After talking about taking up bridge over the years, her partner, Beth, saw a notice on Facebook about lessons at Lightman in 2022.  The rest is history.  They have really enjoyed learning and playing the game.

Mary loves to travel and has had great opportunities throughout her work career.  She was also able to take one or both of her girls on many of her trips.  Emme played competitive soccer which enabled them to travel to Las Vegas, Cleveland, Orlando and just about everywhere in between.  When Mary was a Freshman in High School, she took a 9 day trip to Spain as part of the concert band and then another trip to Italy with the band in her Senior year.  She has many fond memories of those trips.  Stop and say "hi" to Mary next time you see her at the Club!
