Thursday afternoons 1:10 for 1:30 p.m.

You can find out more here.

We also run supervised play sessions on Monday evenings from 7:15 p.m

Playing On-line

“The Avenue/Lewes Online Virtual Bridge Club”

Lewes Bridge Club will still be continuing with their on-line bridge sessions in cooperation with The Avenue Bridge Club and West Sussex Bridge Club.  Instructions on how to do this are in the section on the left hand side of this page under BBO Information.

To help you know who you are playing against in a tournament on BBO, there is a list of member's names and their BBO user names under BBO information in the left hand column .  Your name must appear in this list for you to be able to take part in the Avenue and Lewes Virtual Bridge Club games on BBO.  If you would like to join this list, then please contact our Chairman, Paul Allen (pallen@dircon.co.uk) with your name and BBO user name and this will be arranged.

The club has sessions every Tuesday at 10.00am; 7.30pm on Wednesday evenings  and 1.30pm on Thursday afternoons.  Games normally last just over two hours.

Improver's Bridge

Monday Evening Improver's Bridge

Please note there will be no sessions on Monday 1st April and Monday 8th April 2024

These are suitable for people who have done a beginner's course or who are returning to bridge after some time and are organised as follows:

  • The first Monday of each month to be a ‘mini duplicate’ session of not less than 12 boards. (Some hand commentary to be provided by e-mail to participants)
  • The third Monday of each month to consist of a short teaching session followed by practice hands on particular topics (these to be published in advance)
  • All other Mondays to be supervised play of 6 - 8 random boards with detailed commentary and discussion after each board.

We start at 7.15pm promptly so please try to arrive before then.  The sessions last for approximately two hours.
