| Herts senior teams winners 2017 |
 Many congratulations to the Leverstock ladies combinations of Margaret Ainsworth & Susie Bond and Jane Farndon & Pat Jacobs, winners of the Herts senior teams 2017 with +47 IMPs. An excellent performance!
Second with +44 was a Welwyn team, and just two further IMPs behind was a team including Jackie Davies, Alan Woof and Denis King.
Several strong Herts players appeared further down the rankings.

| Desmond Flockhart success!! |
 Congratulations to our team of eight (pictured, minus John Pelley, unfortunately missing for the photo) who won the Desmond Flockhart trophy played on Sunday 4th December.
This was an exceptional performance, perhaps the club's best-ever result in county competitions. We beat teams from Welwyn Garden City, Hitchin, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans and Watford. In particular, Welwyn A and B teams, along with Hemel Hempstead, contained several very strong players.
Our pairs were: John Pelley & Naomi Gibbs; Alan Woof & Oliver Tiemann; Anojan Pothalingam & Rob Corrie; Tim Cooper & John Wareham. Outstanding. We now go on to represent Hertfordshire in the regional semi-final of the Garden Cities Trophy, to be played in May.

Leverstock Green 'A' comprising Alan Woof & Oliver Tiemann, Simon Cook & Bob Howard finished first with +60 IMPs, ahead of Leverstock Green 'B' comprising Alla & Peter Connor, Mo Purdie & Stuart Tarrant in second position with +19 IMPs. Nine other teams from Hertfordshire clubs participated. What an excellent result!
