Largs is a vibrant picturesque seaside town in North Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland. Largs Bridge Club is a long established friendly low cost club catering for all skill levels. Post pandemic the club provide a mix of both face to face and online (BBO) tournaments for both members and visitors, who are always welcome. 17th March 2024 - please note that the last winter bridge tourney at The Largs Bowling Club will be on Monday 8th April and summer bridge will commence on Monday 15th April at 1.30pm in The Clark Memorial Church hall annex. Friday bridge and Tue/Thur online bridge continue all year round.
12th Feb 2024 - The date for the club AGM has now been arranged for 29th April 2024 at 2.00pm at The Willowbank Hotel. The event will kick off with a welcome drink followed by the meeting and prize giving. There will be plenty of time to socialise over scones, cakes and tea/coffee. For those wanting something a little stronger there is a bar where alcoholic drinks may be purchased.
19th Dec 2023 - What a great night at the Largs Bridge Club Christmas Party. The meal was excellent thanks to The Willowbank Hotel and their staff and the party bridge was interesting and enjoyable. The evening started with a short reception where drinks were served followed by the delicious meal and then party bridge. The evening concluded with prize giving by the President. 17th Nov 2023 - Thanks to the generosity of our members and online players we have been able to substantially increase our annual charity donations this year to both local, national and international organisations. Our donations this year are £200 each to the following - Largs Foodbank, RNLI, Ayrshire Hospice, SSPCA and Water Aid. Donations are suggested by members at the AGM and these are taken into account where possible.
Brisbane Trophy Aggregate Results 2023/2024 - Winner : Nancy Wilson 258 points. Runner-Up : Ian Short 241 points. Third Place : Marion Currie 212 points.
Congratulations to all three for their performance in this inaugural season competing for this new Trophy.
Hunterston Trophy Aggregate Results 2023/2024 - Winner : Jimmy Fisher 347 points. Joint Runners-up : Paul McKay & Tony Rowley 343 points. Third Place : Ruth Fisher 341 points.
Many congratulations to all in a tightly-contested competition.
Easter Pairs Trophy 2023/24 - Winners : Paul McKay & Tony Rowley 36 Points, 63.1% . Runners-up : Thelma Ling & Betty Smith 30 Points, 58.04%. Congratulations on winning the last Trophy of this Season.
