Lancashire finished a disappointing 7th of 10 teams in the Presidents Cup this weekend 16/17 July 2022.  Best pairs were Nick & Sue Woodcock on Saturday, Stuart Clarke & Sue Woodcock on Sunday. This was played on RealBridge and seemed well organised timewise, but the feedback from some people was that it inevitably had all the accompanying disconnections, background noise, distraction etc which made the event much of a strain most of the time. An East Scotland (?) team won but it was in an odd mix for a annual traditional 'Northern' competition with teams ranging from Gloucestershire, Sussex, West Scotland(?) taking part!!

Lancashire finished a creditable 4th of 9 teams in the annual Presidents Cup held at Bradford BC on Sat/Sun 29/30 June 2019. The winners were Merseyside.

Well played the Lancashire team in the annual Presidents Cup on 30June/1 July 2018 held at the East Midlands Bridge Club at Derby. The competition is for North Western Counties Teams of 8, and this year there were 8 teams taking part (Hereford, Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Merseyside, Manchester A, Manchester B and North Wales). The tea, was left to right:   Degsy Williams, Sue Woodcock, Stuart Clarke, Jeff Smith, John Brearley, Jackie Pye, Ross Shine, Cros Croswell, David Stevenson (TD). Lancashire won the Cup in 2008 when it was held at Poulton BC.

Lancashire finished 3rd behind Manchester and Yorkshire in the annual Presidents Cup Team of 8 held at Manchester on 15/16 July 2017. The team was Nick / Sue Woodcock, Jeff Smith / Jackie Pye. John Morrell / Marianne Farr and Austin Barnes / Stuart Norris (Sat only) Mike Nicholson / Des King (Sun only). The Lancashire team (J Brearley/R Shine, N & S Woodcock, M Nicholson/D King, D Williams/B Winter) finished 2nd of the 8 teams in the Presidents Cup held at Bradford on the 19/20 June 2016. The Lancashire team finished 3rd out of 7 teams in last weekends Presidents Cup at Carlisle BC on 29/30 June 2014. Winners were Yorkshire, with Manchester in 2nd place. The Lancashire Team was Jeff Smith & Jackie Pye, Paul Evans & Alan Whittam, Paul & Hilda Williams, Mike Nicholson & Des King.
