North American Pairs Qualifying Games in June, July, and August
North American Pairs (NAP) qualifying games will take place during the weeks of June 2-8, June 15-21, July 6-13, July 21-26, August 10-16 and August 24-30. The North American Pairs is a major national pairs event sponsored by the ACBL. It is a grass-roots event that is played in three stages; qualification in club games, District finals in the fall, and national competition at the Spring NABC. Sunday Morning 0-750 Game - CANCELLED UNTIL SEPTEMBER
Club Championship Games - Week of June 22–28. Extra points to be awarded all week!!!
June 29: Pro–Am Game. Our next Pro-Am game will be held on Monday, June 29. If your rank is Life Master or higher, you are a Pro. This game gives non-Life Masters (Ams) a great opportunity to play with more advanced players. Plan to arrive by 11:15 to receive your partnership assignment, fill out a convention card with your partner and enjoy lunch. The game will begin at 12:00 noon. The reduced card fee with lunch for Ams is $10.00. Pros eat and play for free. Click here for the sign-up sheet.
July 13: Intermediate/Novice Sectional (0-750 Non-Life Master) - 2 sessions (10 AM and 2:15 PM). You can play in either or both. A good lunch will be served between the sessions for those playing in both, with bagels at 9:15 and snacks, coffee, tea and sodas all day. Call, email or text Mark Cohen (610-564-8444) to "register" for the event.
Bi–Monthly Team Games: Handicapped Swiss Teams are usually scheduled on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month – check the calendar for details. Start time is noon with a light lunch served at 11:30 AM. After 04/01, use RSVP Bridge to register or to request players to fill out your team.
Bridge Lessons for Summer 2026
1. Need to learn or review the Two-Over-One system? Lisa Mita will be offering a class starting Tuesday mornings from 9:30 - 11:30 am beginning July 21 and ending on August 25. There will be no class on 08/04. This five-lesson series will cover the following topics: Roman Key Card 1430 & Control Bids, Introduction to 2/1, Forcing 1NT, Opener & Responder Rebids, Game or Slam? The fee for the series is $125, or drop in as you like for $30 per class. Advance registration is strongly recommended. A minimum of 8 students is required for the course to run. Bridge Lessons for Fall 2026
Dennis Shaub will present a 6-week Beginner Bridge Course based on the Audrey Grant system on consecutive Thursdays 9:30-11:30 from September 10 - October 15. After completion of this course, you will be able to play bridge on a basic level with friends, private groups or beginner level club games. Mentored Play & Learn Join Linda O'Malley for Structured Practice on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Uses pre–dealt boards containing a mix of common conventions including: Stayman, Jacoby Transfers, Takeout Doubles, Jump Shifts, Preempts, Strong 2 Club Openers, and Blackwood. Focus is on both bidding and play of the hand. Drop in as you like for $15/session, no need to register or come with a partner. Hand Review after Saturday Morning Games Stay after the morning games for Andy Garnett's review of some of the morning hands and to answer any questions you may have. Andy is an experienced bridge instructor who has recently joined KOPBC.
Points and Pointers Join us on Wednesdays for Points and Pointers, a real duplicate game designed for beginning and advancing players. The game is limited to players with 0–100 ACBL Masterpoints. Each table will play the same boards at the same time, and session host Rex Saffer will discuss each board immediately after it is played. The table fee is $15, and the game will run from 12 Noon to 3:15 PM. Register by using RSVP Bridge. See above for more information.

Free Mini–Lessons Our popular Friday and Saturday Mini–Lessons are regular weekly events, covering selected topics in offensive and competitive bidding, declarer play, and defensive principles. Lessons take place from 9:20–9:50 AM before the Friday Come Out and Play session (Ellen Luchette) and before the Saturday 0–300 Limited game (Rex Saffer). Conversation will focus on fundamentals and is directed toward advancing and intermediate players.

Come Out And Play Just getting started with bridge? Join us on Friday mornings from 10–11:30 am for a relaxed session of bridge. There will be no scoring, no masterpoints, and no pressure! – for only $10 per person. Come on out and drop in, no commitment or advance registration needed, and singles are welcome! Mentors will be available to answer any questions that may arise. This is a fun way to improve your bidding and play while meeting other advancing players
