Chairman. The chairman’s report had been circulated with the minutes. The club has continued its Wednesday evening and Monday morning sessions and enjoyed pre-dealt hands and electronic scoring on Wednesdays. Bill ran a Wednesday evening class during the autumn. Members have used “WhatsApp” to arrange partnerships. All the various things done to keep the club running smoothly were acknowledged and the individuals concerned were thanked. Continued progress in refurbishing Knowle Village Hall was noted and the AGM evening collection in lieu of table money would be donated to the refurbishment fund.
Treasurer. The Treasurer reported that there had been expenditure from savings to buy scoring equipment but recommended that membership subscriptions become £5.00, Wednesday and Monday table fees should be £2.50 (members) £3.50 (visitors). This was approved by the meeting.
Committee. All committee members were willing to continue in office. There were no further nominations. The meeting approved the following committee: John Allen, Tony Cundy, Faye Doble (membership secretary), Paul Hardstaff (chair), Jacqui Lewis (treasurer).
Other Business. There will be no club session on Wednesday 26th December 2018. On either 12th or 19th December a Christmas event would be organised.
