Please note that for a period of 4 to 6 weeks from Monay 26th October the club will meet at The Bishop Hall (Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church) Comber Road, Balloo as, due to road works, there will be restricted access to the S.L.Y.C premises.   Any updates to the position will be posted to this Bulletin Board.

PLEASE SEE BULLETIN BOARD FOR TEMORARY CHANGES TO OUR MEETING PLACE

 

An Extraordinary General Meeting of the NIBU was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Saturday 5 September 2026.   The amalgamation of the NIBU with the CBAI into ‘ Bridge Ireland’ was approved and this will now take effect from 1 January 2027.

We meet at 7.00pm on Mondays at Strangford Lough Yatch Club, Whiterock Bay, Killinchy BT23 6QA. 
We need ten minutes to set up the movement so please arrive promptly.

Competitions


The Minnis Cup

The Minis Cup is awarded to Intermediate B players and is open to all players in this category in the area.
The event is played over the period from September to March.  The event is not handicapped and your 6 best scores over the period will be counted.  One partner substitution is permitted.

The Stan Johnston Cup

The Stan Johnston Cup is played as a handicapped event played over two nights the first in October and the second the following April.   The dates will be shown in the club calendar.

The Fitzgerald Plate

This is a single night event held in April each year.   The date will be shown in the club calendar and the event which is not handicapped is open to all members

Presentation of prizes will take place at the AGM at the start of the new season.  Trophies presented to the winners should be returned to the Hon Secretary at the end of the season.
