Islands Bridge Club |
Welcome to our new web site. Islands Bridge is based in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus (TRNC) and currently supports a regular Monday afternoon Face to Face Duplicate bridge session at the Korineum Golf & Beach Resort - near Girne/Kyrenia plus two free BBO sessions held on Friday and Saturday at 13:00 Cyprus time. From 19 March 2025 we are also running weekly Chicago bridge sessions on Wednesday in Alsancak. Bridge was first started in Girne in the early 2000's as Chicago bridge and was originally played at the Sele and Polar Restaurants. Islandsbc was established in 2020 with the help of Ellen MacArthur from Oregon USA and Stephen Williamson from the Philippines during the pandemic and has over 90 members from across the globe playing on a regular basis. Visitors to the TRNC are very welcome to join the Monday sessions and may apply to join the online BBO club.

Our Handy Card Reader has arrived!! |
 |
Yes it has arrived - our new card reader kindly donated by Dick Sandeman and delivered by a travelling motorhome across Europe is almost ready to be put in action. As soon as we are able to link it to our laptop and follow the careful instruction on You Tube... HandyDup hand dealing
Underwhelmed ? possibly - one still has to deal the cards - just according to how the machine directs. Anyway we are looking forward to using the new system from Monday 17 March at the Korineum Monday Bridge Club
