Chairman’s Annual Report 2022-23

We played online on Monday evenings throughout the year at a cost of £1 per person per session. Again we didn’t charge a membership fee.

Many thanks to Derek Peers and Anne Short for running our RealBridge sessions. They are the main reason our sessions are so cheap at £1.

A F2F teams league was tried for the first time in players’ homes. It was enjoyed by those that played and we hope to run another one later this year. We also held a Christmas party F2F in a December afternoon which was well received by the 32 that played. We are planning to run another F2F party in July this year.

The club won the Herts interclub competition (Flockhart) and represented Hertfordshire in the Garden City competition.

In the other major Herts events it was a question of second place. Mike Rawlins & Naomi Gibbs were 2nd in the Championship pairs final, the Edmonds team was runner up in the Humble cup and Roger & David were 2nd in the Marjorie Lukyn final.

Sadly Tim Cooper passed away, he had been a member for many years.
