There are several options for finding a partner for a Bridge Forum game.

To find a partner in advance of game time:

1. Email The Bridge Forum’s mailing list at hamdenbridge@groups.io. This will send an email to all members of the mailing list.
2. Send an email to Rick at rickt@cshore.com or Bill at billsegravesbridge@cshore.com and they will try to find you a partner.
3. Use the “Find a Partner” function in the Member Area of the Bran-Mad website at https://www.bridgewebs.com/branfordmadison/.

To find a partner at game time:

1. Click on the tournament you want to play (The Bridge Forum, hosted by VACB 155200), then click on Partnership Desk and then on the “I will pay only for myself” tab. This will enable you to see other players who are looking for a partner and will enable the director to seek another player or pair you with a robot, should you so desire.

To play with a robot partner:

1. Click on the tournament you want to play, then Register and then on the “Play with robot” tab.

A few tips for playing with robot partners:

1. Robots play Gib 2/1, described at https://www.bridgebase.com/doc/gib_system_notes.php. You can see what the robot’s bids mean by mousing over the bid.
2. The robot’s defensive methods are also described at https://www.bridgebase.com/doc/gib_system_notes.php; be aware that it does not use standard defensive signals.
