Tournament News

The Doc Holliday Sectional in Glenwood was great fun. Geo Fuller, tournament chair, put on a well-run tournament. Once again, we enjoyed  the buffet by Karen Kribs.

Attendees included several tables from Durango and Grand Junction. Grand Slam of GJ players Laurian Unnevehr and Blair Jenkins surprised Nancy Hackett, Linda Odette, Janet Smalley, Vivian Herman, Bill Voss, Jean Paradis, Gail Cizek and Sharon Snyder by attending the tournament. Our District 17 president, Sharon Smith, was also in attendance.

Sectional tournaments in rural areas are finding it increasingly difficult to survive. We greatly appreciate Cara-Lyn Lappen for sharing her time and expertise as our local director. Having a local director in our Unit has provided much-needed cost savings. The local status of the tournament awards 80% silver and 20% black masterpoints.

Thanks to all for attending and supporting the tournament!

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the event such a success!

Unit 364 Annual meeting

The annual meeting was held on Saturday, May 2nd in Glenwood. Joe Heideman did not run for a second term. Barbara Clarke was nominated and accepted to the board. All four bylaw amendments were discussed and unanimously approved. The minutes are posted on the Unit website.
