YOU are the CHAMPIONS, my FRIEND
The ACBL allows each club to run two Club Championship games per quarter for each game day/time. Friendly has four games per week, thus we get eight club championship games per quarter. These games award more masterpoints than regular games. When I stumbled upon some "Bridge Club Champion" trophies, I decided we could have fun making use of these trophies. Thus our Club Championship games now come complete with trophies (at least for the photo op), and the winners of the Club Championship games will be the REIGNING club champions - until the next Club Championship game on that day. (So we will have the most recent club champion for each day we hold games!)
The Monday 11/3 includes two pairs of Club Champions as we had two sections. Both are pictured with Dorsey Shaw who was celebrating her 92nd birthday. Eilleen Davidoff and Rich Brandenburg, and Jim Bauer & Tomi Story are now the reigning Club Champions
The Friday 9/26 game winners were Mike Murphy & Jeff Karpeles
The Thursday 9/25 game winners were Mark & Sheri Bumgardner
The Saturday 7/19 game winners were Dorsey Shaw and Gerry McKim
Congratulations to the above winners, and we look forward to seeing more of you compete for Friendly CLUB CHAMPIONS!!

4th of July 2025
We love to host a party at Friendly Bridge - and we are thrilled that you love to attend. We had 17 tables of bridge players out to celebrate the 249th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the 4th anniversary of Friendly's re-emergence post-pandemic. Thanks to our cell phone party fund that helped fund the party (the silence has been fabulous), we had hot dogs, ice cream and apple crisp. And thanks to all of you we had great sides. Thanks for choosing to play at Friendly Bridge Club. We love celebrating holidays with you!

Alzheimer's Fundraiser
THANKS for your support of the Longest Day Alzheimer's fundraiser
14 1/2 tables played on Friday, and your donations and responses to some fun challenges raised $1362 so far. I know that some of those funds will be matched by an employer and the table fees will also be forwarded, so GREAT JOB. Thank you so much as we fight to outshine Alzheimer's. A thank you video

How to Make a Reservation
Reservations help us plan, but they are not required. Make a reservation by going to the "Monthly Calendar/Make Reservation" screen and hover over date you want to make reservation. Press "Reservation Required". Enter your name, OR email, OR ACBL # and press CHECK. (if you just press enter, you will need to enter your name, or email, or acbl # again and press CHECK). A prompt should appear for you to enter your partner's name, and direction preference. Then press ADD RESERVATION If it says "Member not Found" after pressing Check we will need to add you to the database (or determine if we have you with your name spelled differently), so contact us at vjremmers@gmail.com. If you want to make a reservation for a game in the next month, click on the right arrow in the upper right corner of the calendar to move to the next month. Note - if you have achieved Life Master and now have a letter as the first character of your ACBL #, you need to enter you ACBL # with the letter in the first digit. (1=J, 2=K, 3=L, 4=M, 5=N, 6=O, 7=P, 8=Q, 9=R)

About the Club
|
Jay and Valarie welcome you to Friendly Bridge Club. Monday, Thursday & Friday games are located in the fellowship hall of Disciples Christian Church, 2001 Independence Parkway, Plano TX at 10:30 am. Our Saturday game is at 1pm at King of Glory Lutheran Church - 6411 LBJ Freeway, Dallas. We sometimes also offer lessons, and run the unit game. Check out the Lessons tab for specifics on lessons, and the calendar to get the details on the games for each month. Whether novice, expert, or somewhere in between, you'll find a stimulating, enjoyable game of bridge in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere here at the Friendly Bridge Club. We always have an open game, and want to have a limited game as often as possible.
