SYLVIA ROSE TEAMS COMPETITION 2022

Entries are invited for Farnham Bridge club Sylvia Rose teams competition, which will be run along the same lines as last year's successful competition.

This season, as last, the default will be that teams play matches online on Realbridge on dates mutually agreeable to both team captains. Teams will however be free to arrange to play matches online on a different platform, or face-to-face in a participant’s house if that is mutually acceptable to both teams. In the event of any disagreement about arrangements, team captains should consult Mike O'Donnell.

Teams may comprise 4 to 7 players, matches are 16 to 24 boards (24 boards is the norm / default). Click here for full details of the Sylvia Rose Team Competition 2022.docx.

FUNDS FOR UKRAINE REFUGEES

FARNHAM AND THE BOURNE BRIDGE CLUBS RAISE FUNDS FOR UKRAINE REFUGEES.

On April 11th, Farnham Bridge club and the Bourne Bridge clubs combined to run a heat of a national “simultaneous pairs” event to raise money for UNICEF Aid for Ukraine. 64 local players participated, donating a total £789 to this much needed cause.

A large number of bridge clubs across England and Wales participated in the event, raising in total over £12,000, with the combined Farnham & Bourne bridge clubs being the second highest donations contributor. Thanks to all who participated and donated.
