♦ Kevin learned bridge as a teenager by playing with his parents and siblings in the Washington D.C. area. He is passionate about speaking to bridge players of diverse abilities and is known for explaining bridge reasoning and giving excellent memory tips. When not playing bridge he enjoys hiking, painting, and chasing great sunsets. He earned a degree in Geological Studies from the University of Tennessee. Residents of Knoxville, TN, he and his wife Jennifer are on a lifelong mission to visit every national park and historic site in the country!
♦ My teaching style is to follow the Socratic method and include everyone in a discussion regardless of the level of the players or topic being discussed. I mix in humor and a lighthearted spirit and strive to give everyone some personal attention. I support the discussion with a Powerpoint presentation and then they play preset hands designed to reinforce the topic. I provide a take-home booklet with notes, exercises, and write-ups of the hands played in the session. My specialties for seminars and clinics are my exclusive "Pro Tip of the Day" and considering cognitive psychology when designing my presentations.
