Face to Face bridge in the club
We welcome new members (and visitors) to face to face bridge games in our friendly club. Visitors pay £5 per session and are requested to report to the director on arrival. Members pay £4 per session with a blue voucher that are sold in books of 10. We expect players to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of play so that the movement can be set and monies collected.
Face to face bridge will be on Monday evening at 19.00, Monday afternoon at 13.30, Tuesday afternoon (Simple Systems and 24 boards) at 13.30, Wednesday morning (ACOL only and 16 boards) at 10.15, Wednesday afternoon at 13.30, Thursday Afternoon (Intermediate and 20 boards) at 13.30 and Saturday afternoon at 13.30. We will be running Swiss Pairs at 1.30 on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month - names in advance please. We hope to start Random Teams on the 4th Friday of the month starting on Friday 24th October at 13.30.There is an optional review session is part of Acol on Wednesday morning a hand from the week before is reviewed at 9.30am and everyone joining the session is welcome to come along to that as part of the morning if they wish to. The committee would like members to follow these guidelines for entry to these events: Tuesday afternoon under 50 NGS, Thursday afternoon under 47 NGS, Wednesday morning under 44 NGS
All afternoon and morning sessions (except for Swiss Pairs) are hosted (but NOT 100% guaranteed), see calendar for current detail. The evening session is not hosted.
More sessions may be created if there is the demand.

On-line at BBO
We welcome visitors to our online games - subscriptions are not currently required for online games.
The club has its own on-line bridge competition on Friday evenings at 19.00 , using BBO. The table money for each of them is $3 for a 18 board game (no need for a subscription if you are online only). This session is now shared with Seaford Bridge Club, who host the first, third and fifth Fridays in the month. Contact Roger Poulter via contact us page with BBO name and EBU number if you wish to take part in our duplicates.

SUPERVISED BRIDGE SESSIONS
Supervised Bridge on Mondays starts at 10.15 and finishes at 12:30 The Monday sessions are aimed at improvers and intermediates who want to gain confidence and prepare to play in club sessions. A variety of hands will be played with some analysed in more detail. It will be possible to compare how you performed with club players who played the hands previously. Tuesday 10-12 Supervised Play for Improvers. A brief lesson followed by a selection of hands some of which reflect the lesson. Help with bidding and play. Perfect for those who need more practice but don’t feel ready to move on to the intermediate course or for those who have done the intermediate course and just want more practice! One pink voucher per session. Pink vouchers cost £6 and are sold in books of five for £30. These books can be bought at supervised play sessions.

WORKSHOPS
Bruce Carrison is leading one more workshop in the autumn term.
Sunday 7 December at 10.30 - End Play
The workshop is targeted at people who have been playing in any session and want to sharpen up their game. It is amazing how giving yourself time to learn makes playing more enjoyable. It is always possible to tweak your game to make it more successful.
The cost is 2 blue vouchers for members and £10 for non-members.
