Sunday May 12th saw the grand Finale of this season's Fanagan League, held in Templelogue Bridge Centre.

We were delighted to welcome Robert Fanagan to present the prizes on behalf of Fanagan Funeral Directors, who very generously sponsor the league every year. This year also marked the retirement of Ann Fitzmaurice from her role as league organiser and Brid Kemple, DSR President made a special presentation to Ann to thank her for all her hard work in organising the league so efficiently over the last 13 years!

This year there were 66 teams from 21 clubs playing in 12 different divisions and also there was an open pairs competition for those who didnt have a match on the final night.

It was a very enjoyable night with great camaraderie amongst all the clubs.

The Fanagan League gala final night was held in the Templeogue Bridge Centre on Sunday 12th May, and as ever a great night was had by all.  With record numbers attending, the Templeogue complex was full to capacity, with an open pairs for those not involved in the final night. 

Our sincere thanks to Fanagans Funeral Directors, the long-standing sponsors of this event - without their support it would not be possible - especially to Robert Fanagan who attended the final night and presented the prizes to the winners, and to the League Co-Ordinator, Ann Fitzmaurice, for her excellent stewardship and organisation of both the final night and the event as a whole.

Brid Kemple made a special presentaion to Ann in recogntion of all her work organising the Fanagan League over the last 13 years as she is handing over the organisational reins to Donal Garvey for next season, she will be a hard act to follow!
