| Dounby Bridge Club |
 Welcome to the Dounby Bridge Club website. We take our bridge seriously but not too seriously and aim always to be a friendly and welcoming Club.
Sessions start at 7:00 pm each evening but players are asked to arrive 10-15 minutes beforehand and if everyone booked in has arrived play may start early.

| Duplicate Pairs Restarts |
The 2024 Duplicate Pairs Season, which ran from January to April 2024 before taking a break for the summer, will be resuming on Tuesday, 15 October.
As we no longer play Duplicate Pairs over the summer, we have decided to run the 2024 competition through to April 2025 with just a short break for Christmas and New Year. From 2025 we will start the new season competition for Duplicate Pairs in either late September or early October and run the competition through until April of the following year, again with just a short break for Christmas and New Year. We feel that this makes more sense than having a five month summer break mid-competition.
The Individual Rubber Bridge competition runs throughout the calendar year from early January until mid December and is unaffected by this change for Duplicate Pairs.

| Restart of Duplicate Pairs delayed |
Please note that due to a number of playing pairs being unavailable on 1 and 8 October, those two Duplicate Pairs sessions have beem cancelled. The situation for 15 October will be reviewed nearer the time.

| No Bridge Session 21 June 2024 |
Please note that there will be no bridge session on Friday, 21 June 2024 as several players will be away on a bridge trip.

| Summer Break |
This is just to remind Members and to warn possible visitors that Dounby Bridge Club's Tuesday evening Duplicate Pairs will be taking a summer break from 1 May to 30 September inclusive. We look forward to welcoming players back for the remainder of the season October to December.
Friday Individual Rubber Bridge sessions will continue throughout the summer as long as there are sufficient players to make up two or more tables. The situation will be reviewed week by week.

| No Bridge on 29 March 2024 |
Owing to the absence of a few players there will not be enough people available to make bridge viable on Friday, 29 March 2024 so that evening's session has been cancelled.
