CHICAGO BRIDGE

Chicago bridge is offered on Monday mornings from 10-15 - 12-45. This session is now in its 5th year and has been a well supported event for the club for which we would LIKE TO THANK ALL REGULAR PLAYERS. These sessions are ideal for members who wish to practice or are 'rusty' and wish to 'develop and advance' their bridge with the opportunity to ask for advice and also for those who wish to enjoy a social game at a slower pace to duplicate. There will also be prepared sessions on particulars of biding e.g. slams/conventions. Please contact Sue Clark for details 01892 667386.

ETIQUETTE REMINDER

MEMBERS ARE REMINDED TO MAINTAIN CORRECT ETIQUETTE WHILST AT THE TABLES SEE THE ENB PAGE ON THE WEBSITE. IN ADDITION HESITATION WHILST USING THE BIDDING BOX IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THE FIRST CARD CHOSEN MUST BE USED. DUMMY MUST NOT INDICATE OR TOUCH CARDS UNLESS PARTNER HAS CHOSEN THEM FIRST. WINNING PAIRS SHOULD NOT CELEBRATE THEIR WIN AT THE TABLE.

Results:Thursday 26 March

We have had to make a change to the results for Thursday 26 March session as the result of a corruption of one board (17). This invalidated the results for that board. After removing all the results for that board, the scores have been recalculated. The result is a change in the overall order of the rankings for the session. Apologies for the effect this has had on your results!

Introduction to Crowborough Bridge Club

We are a relaxed and very friendly EBU affiliated club, comprised of players with a wide range of abilities - from newcomers to bridge to Grandmasters. Newcomers and visitors are welcome.

Conventions are mostly Acol. If you are unfamiliar with duplicate bridge, experienced players will be available to help you. There is no table money required for a visitor's first visit to the club.

AMBIENT TEMPERATURE AND VENTILATION

IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN AIR FLOW IN THE BRIDGE ROOMS, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT WINDOWS AND DOORS WILL BE OPENED AT TIMES. THIS BREEZE MAY SOMETIMES CAUSE A DROP IN TEMPERATURE, AND IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THOSE WHO STRUGGLE WITH THIS BRING APPROPRIATE ADDITIONAL CLOTHING IN ORDER TO STAY COMFORTABLE.

REFRESHMENTS

The Club are happy to provide refreshments, however, it is recommended that personal mugs are brought for this. Paper cups will be made available, (although these are not recommended for hot drinks). Members are asked to consider the environment.
