ZERO TOLERANCE BEHAVIOR
Commendable behavior
Being a good “host” or “guest” at the table
Greeting others in a friendly manner
Praising the bidding and/or play of the opponents
Having two clearly completed convention cards readily available to the opponents
Behaviors that will not be tolerated
Badgering, rudeness, insinuations, intimidation, profanity, threats of violence
Negative comments concerning opponents or partner’s play or bidding
Constant & gratuitous lessons & analysis at the table
Loud & disruptive arguing with a director’s ruling
GUIDELINES FOR DIRECTORS
Three Strike Rule
Strike One
First offence- Verbal warning and score adjustment on the board just played
Strike Two
Second offence- Letter from club executive outlining unacceptable behavior and zero on the two current played boards
Strike Three
Suspension for a specific period of time. Reasons for suspension will be detailed.
BOOK
Since all directors are not at all of the duplicate games, a record needs to be kept listing the infractions that occur, the date, the name of the person and the director ruling the game.
Any sanction at any club will be applied equally at all three clubs namely the Charlottetown Duplicate Bridge Club, The Happy Bidders Club and the Over the Bridge Club.
APPEAL
An appeal process will be promulgated, approved by CDBC Executive and distributed for everyone to study.
