Welcome to Canterbury Duplicate Bridge Club
BBO Friday evening PAIRS Event - login 6.45 pm for 7.00 pm start

PARKING

I am hearing that concerns are still being expressed in relation to the costs of car parking when attending our events on Friday evenings.

To offer some reassurance, I can report that, since our restart at the beginning of April, some players have car shared, others used ‘blue badge’ exemptions. In terms of free parking (after 6.30pm) there are about six spaces outside the hall and a further nine outside the prison. It is unlikely that we would have more than 15 cars with bridge players.

Finally, and most significantly, we are aware of the following email from CDC:

"The double yellow lines in Love Lane were marked out in error, and will be removed soon.

Parking is still only prohibited between 8am and 6.30pm on Monday to Saturday.

Richard Jenkins

Senior Transportation Officer

Canterbury City Council"

Finally, as always, if you are wanting to play but have no partner, please contact our committee member, Ron Davis (01227 500173), and he will try to source a partner for you.

Steve Bispham, Chairman, Canterbury Bridge Club, Tuedsay 26th April 2022.

'Partner Finder'

If you would like to play on a certain date but don't have a partner, please call Ron Davis on 01227 500173

We are a friendly EBU affiliated bridge club that meets at 7pm on Friday evenings in the 'Parish Centre', Church Street St Paul's, Canterbury, CT1 1NH.

We use computer pre-dealt boards and Bridgewebs scoring system.  Details of the hands are shown with the results on this website, usually later the same evening.

Visitors are always welcome and we have a Host System (see details below) that operates on most club nights.
