Unfortunately there was a major server failure. during play on Monday. I have managed to retrieve most of the results from the individual Bridgemates.

However there may be a small number of errors. If you can, please check the results and email any corrections to peterjnewcastle@hotmail.co.uk.

LIZ MUIR
EBU HONOUR LIZ MUIR

Liz Muir has been honoured by the English Bridge Union by a prestigious Dimmie Fleming award for services to bridge locally and to the County.   The intent of the Dimmie Fleming award is to publicly recognise those people who do not hold an official office, but have, for a long time worked hard for bridge in administration at County level. Liz has done so much for bridge in the North it is hard to know where to start. But, I will pick out her tireless service for the North East Bridge Association where she has held every office, bar one, on at least one occasion. She brings enthusiasm and commitment to everything she does. It is a delight to show her so publicly how much she is valued by her bridge friends and colleagues. We are all so proud for her. Liz who is in Australia, was totally shocked at the news but obviously very pleased.
