COVID-19 |
Although legal restrictions have been lifted please don't attend if you have not been vaccinated or have any covid or cold like symptoms or have been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive or is awaiting the results of a test. There is a maximum of 8 tables. We play with the door and window vents open and regularly clean the equipment . Please bring your own refreshments and the exact table money (£3 for members and £4 for visitors). The bar and restaurant will be open.
Until further notice it would still help with planning if you tell us by midday Monday that you wish to play on Tuesday evening. This will enable us to alert you if there are likely to be too many or too few players or we have had to cancel due to changing regulations. If you click here it will take you to forms for the afternoon and evening sessions.

About our club |
Do you want to play bridge in Bromley in a friendly relaxed atmosphere? Perhaps with a meal or drink before or after your game. We are a duplicate bridge club based in the Parklangley Club in Wickham Way, Beckenham - located in Bromley, Kent, between West Wickham and Beckenham and on the hail and ride section of the 352 bus route. We play on a Tuesday afternoon and evening using Bridgemates and pre-dealt hands. Visitors are always welcome but members will take priority if there is insufficient room. Important Notice |
If too many players turn up some will not be able to play. Preference will be given in the following order to:
- Duty Officer/s and Scorer
- Members
- Members partnering a visitor
- Visitors
- Those arriving less than ten minutes before the start of play
Prompt arrival helps the Duty Officer choose the most suitable movement and a prompt start increases the chance of finishing that movement. Please try to arrange for at least one member of the partnership to arrive and sit at a table ten minutes before the starting time. If you know you are playing and that you may be later than that please inform the duty officer in advance. If you arrive at the last minute and the movement has already been set you may not be able to play unless you are preventing a sit out.
Playing at a reasonable speed also helps make everyone's game more enjoyable. Please see the guidance.
Please also try to keep noise to a minimum - once you have greeted your new opponents
