BRIDGE IS A TIMED EVENT
In the best interest of all players we enforce the 7.5 minutes per board to protect
and insure everyone's right to that amount of time. If a pair falls behind, it forces
the following pairs to rush through their round thus preventing them from having their full
amount of time. Here is our policy:
If a pair falls more than 2 minutes behind, for any reason (yes, even if it is not your fault) the pair will be given TWO rounds to catch up. If, after two rounds, a pair is still not on time, the director uses his or her discretion to decide wether or not both boards will be able to be played. Generally speaking, if you finish your first board with more than 7 minutes on the clock, you will be allowed to continue to play. IF NOT, the pair who recieved the slow play warning will recieve a "No Play" meaning the board not played will be an average of their final result. The non offending side will recieve an "Average Plus"
I hope you all understand that this policy is not meant in any way to be punitive, but to keep the game moving.
If you have any questions please talk to Liz or Sallie.

♥ 0-49er Game with 45 MINUTE LESSON AND SANCTIONED GAME ON
FRIDAYS AT 9:30 a.m.
WHEN THERE IS A BREAK IN TEMPO:
1. CHECK TO SEE IF ALL AGREE THERE WAS A BREAK IN TEMP
If all parties agree there was a break in tempo the opponents should
announce they reserve the right to call the director at the end of play and
that action will be taken if they feel they were damaged.
If all parties don't agree there was a break in tempo
the director should be called immeciately.
2. IF PARTNER HAS HESITATED WHAT ACTION ARE YOU ALLOWED TO TAKE?
If you have a clear cut bid that you were planning to make regardless
of partners action then go ahead and make that bid. If the opponents
feel that your bid was not based on your hand ONLY, the director
will be called and will poll players of your same caliber to see if necessary
to see if the bid was made without the hesitation.
If the majority of players made the same bid it will stand.
If not the director may award an adjusted score.
REMEMBER A PAUSE OF 10 SECONDS IS
MANDATORY OVER ANY JUMP BID.
