This will be held at the Bedford Hotel, Lytham St. Annes from Monday 30th November to Thursday 3rd December.

This will be our third organised holiday and it has become extremely popular.

Members who have been on the first two will be given priority. This means that places are limited for those who wish to attend for the first time.

The annual Bolton Club Individual was held on 11th March 2026 at the Club. As usual, all players were playing the same system Ref: Individual System. There were 25 players at the event.

The annual Bolton BC Championship Pairs will take place on Saturday 11th April at 2pm. Doors will open at 1:30pm. There will be a break for food (Minced Beef Hotpot or Vegetable Lasagne) at 3:45pm. The Grand National will be shown at 4pm on the TV at the club and there will be a sweepstake on the result. Play will resume at 5pm and finish about 6:30pm. Prizes to leading pairs including a handicap prize. Entry is £8 per person (members only). Please put in your entry below indicating your food choice (Beef Hotpot or Vegetable Lasagne). It is with great sorrow that Jennifer, Howard and Michael and families report the death of their dearly loved husband, Brian Armitage, dad, granddad, great granddad and uncle. Always known as 'Brian', he died at home in Belper, after many illnesses stoically borne throughout his life but foremost was a dedicated family man. Brian taught Maths in Bolton at Farnworth Grammar, St Cuthberts, Canon Slade and North Bolton Sixth Form College, retiring in 1994. He was a well-known devotee of Bolton Wanderers. Brian was born in 1933 and of late has been living in Belper near his family. He joined Bolton BC in May 1954 and was a very strong player winning many competitions but always had time to help and encourage other players with their game. After spending 89 years in Bolton he moved to Belper, Derbyshire to be closer to his family. Brian will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

The funeral is Wednesday 18 March at 12:00 at Amber Valley Crematorium, Swanwick, followed by a buffet, anyone wishing to attend will be very welcome.

Bridge Club 80th Year Celebrations

Bolton Little Theatre – Friday 27th March 2026

This is the first event we are planning to hold to celebrate 80 successful years of Bolton Bridge Club

We have reserved 60 tickets for The Lady in the Van by Alan Bennett on Friday 27^th March 2026 at 6.30pm at Bolton Little Theatre, Hanover Street.  The tickets are priced at £20 each and this includes a private pre-show light finger buffet and welcome drink.  The show starts at 7.30pm and we can use the separate room in the interval for coffee/tea and drinks to be purchased from the theatre bar. 

Tickets are limited so they will be offered to members on a first-come, first-served basis, and payment will be requested at the time of booking. To simplify the administration, we are requesting bookings are made by contacting committee member Janice Drake by email on janiced@live.co.uk, and payments will also be collected by Janice on behalf of the club.  Her account details are as follows:
