Surrey are organising a Teams of 8 Competition on 5^th January 2025 at Wimbledon Bridge Club. The start time is noon and a minimum of 40 boards will be played.

We would like to organise a team from Bletchingley Bridge Club and the entry fee of £25 will be paid by the Club.  The Committee would like to invite all members to represent our Club. If more than 4 pairs apply then we will look at playing data (ending November 2024).

Tactics for teams are slightly different – it is vital to bid games and slams and to make the contract. Overtricks are not so important.  At the end of the session pairs will be able to see their own result via the cross-imping facility.

Seasons greetings from the Committee! 

Christmas Party Night

On behalf of your Committee, we would like to invite all members to the annual Christmas Party Bridge Night.

This year it will be held on Wednesday December 4th commencing around 7pm.

The format this year will be slightly different from previous years. We will be providing a finger buffet style meal along with the usual range of beers, wines and soft drinks.

The amount of effort required to plan, source, present and serve a full buffet, would place an unacceptable strain on the limited resources at our disposal this year.

Rosemarie has volunteered to continue organising the Party again this year with her fantastic skill, despite some challenges for her this year, and we can expect another amazing event.

This year we are expecting to purchase the food, with some interesting home made desserts.

During the evening, there will be some spontaneous prizes, details of which will be announced on the night.

This year the Club will fund the Party so we will not be asking for a member contribution.

We hope to have the usual great turn out and look forward to a party evening with cards, and this new format will give more opportunities for members to mix and chat.
