IMPORTANT NOTICE:   North has the responsibility to assure that the table is playing the correct board as indicated in the bridgemate.  Failure to do so will result in confusion and affect the outcome of the event.  Likewise North must assure boards are facing in the correct direction.  In addition, make sure that when "accepting" a result that it is the correct score and correct direction.

Social Bridge with Tutoring

We encourage anyone wishing to improve their game to come to the Senior Centre on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm.  More experienced players attend and .help beginners and intermediate players to understand bidding systems, carding and "bridge logic" crucial to becoming more competative.  Bridge lessons are available for beginners and intermediate players throughout the year at different clubs in Chatham-Kent and the social bridge event helps them to put into practice what they have learned in a non-competitve atmosphere.  At this point there is no charge for attendees to take part.

"Appreciation Day of Bridge 2025"

In appreciation for the time and effort of Club Managers, Directors, Volunteers and Bridge Teachers the Blenheim Bridge Club hosted an Appreciation Day of Bridge on October 2nd 2025.  A duplicate bridge game took place upstairs at the Blenheim and Community Senior Centre at 1:00 pm.  A social hour followed with drinks and an opportunity for all to get to know each other a little better.  After the social hour participants were served a pickerel dinner with fries, beverage and dessert followed by an acknowledgement speech by Ron White.  At the end of the event a prize draw with many donated gifts took place.  Thanks for the many donations received from several supporting organizations.

A great time was had by all.

Winners of the event:  Overall Tom Storey and Ranj Chandrasena, runner up east west Val and Cassie Harnarine.  North-South  Nina Zeleney and Frank Gerber, runners up JoAnne and Keith Dawson.
