We are getting up to 9 tables on Weds and some players missing. We once used to get 15 or 16 tables but that's decades ago - do come along ( and bring a friend )..! The hall still has capacity for more.

Beeny ( and Foulger ) Cup

Wednesday 17th September saw the end of the Beeny Cup year. This relates to average results ( best of at least six sessions with the same partner ) for the third Wednesday session of every calendar month ( although this is sometimes adjusted for House closures or parties ). Results are now posted under Competitions on the menu list. Congratulations to Terry and Reggie for winning the Beeny and to June Wismayer and Julie Daly for coming second in the handicapped version and winning the Foulger Cup.

Scores for the Foulger Cup depend on your current and comparative NGS ( National Grading Scheme ) scores.

Hosting: We have re-instated our hosting system meaning that visitors can be sure of a game when they attend. Ivy will be asking members to offer to be host ( on a Wednesday afternoon ) from time to time. The only person who will ever not get a game will be the host who will get a free game subsequently should that happen.
