There are currently no Government Covid restrictions in place but we ask members to continue to take some precautions.
Please don't attend if you have tested positive for Covid-19 within the past 7 days or if you are feeling unwell. Wearing of face masks is optional but if others at the table ask you to wear one, please do so.
You need to arrange a partner in advance. We have set up a Belfast U3A Bridge Whatsapp group for members to use for this purpose. Because there is limited space in the room, numbers are restricted. Any members, wishing to join the group should contact one of the convenors by email via the following link Bridge Duplicate 1 . There is a waiting list in operation.

| U3a Spring Charity Festival 28th March 2025 |
On 28th March 2025, the Friday Group took part in the annual U3A bridge festival.
The event was very well supported by our members (20 pairs). They deserve plaudits for their generosity.
The group raised £280 for the charity involved (Macmillan Cancer Support)
The total raised across the UK was approx £3000
In total there were 44 pairs competing in the Friday event from across the UK.
Congratulations to Brian Moore and Mona McGarvey from Belfast U3a, who finished first

| U3A Spring Charity Bridge Festival 26th May 2024 |
 On 26th May 2024, the Friday Group took part in the annual U3A bridge festival. The event was very well supported by our members (19 pairs). They deserve plaudits for their generosity, The group raised £200 for the charities involved (Alzheimers Research and Age UK)
In total there were 62 pairs competing in the Friday event from across the UK.
Belfast U3A finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd - quite an achievement !!!

INFORMAL BRIDGE
This group is for those who for those who have attended classes and want to gain experience by playing in a small friendly group. It may also suit those who have some past experience and who wish to return to the game. Bidding and Play may be discussed after playing the hands but without formal teaching. New members with some knowledge of bridge and who wish to practise their play in an informal setting are now welcome
This group meets on Fridays at 10am and Mondays at 2pm in the Convenor's home. More details can be found in the groups section of the Belfast U3A website
