EBU Upcoming Virtual Events Autumn 2020

Great Northern Pairs

Due to covid 19, this event will now be played online via BBO. The date of the event has also changed, it will now take place on 3rd- 4th October. The format of the event will not be Swiss but Multiple Pairs played over 2 days with 32 Boards played as 2 * 16 Board Sessions. Green Points will be awarded.

There will also be a 9 High Pairs held on the Sunday. 

The entry form is available as an editable PDF document (Pairs) or (9 High Pairs), and can be downloaded, edited, saved and returned via email to the tournament secretary,  Stuart Davies, Email: tournaments@ycba.co.uk.

Please note that payment can only be received via Bank Transfer to the details shown on the entry form. Make sure that you clearly show the reference GNP+your surname

Suffolk Online Congress

Suffolk will now hold their congress online via BBO, taking place over three days from 2nd - 4th October. There will be relaxed pairs on the Friday, Pairs on Saturday and a Swiss Teams on the Sunday.

Players must be registered with BBO; this is very simple to do but help is available from SCBA if necessary.

National Hanidcap Pairs

Due to covid 19, we have made the decision to reschedule the National Handicap Pairs. The event will now take place online on 4th October, the competition format will remain the same. 

The special thing about this competition is that the results will be handicapped, with each pairs' score reduced by the average of their NGS grades, so everyone will have a chance of winning simply by playing better than usual.
