Rules for Major Competitions. Updated 18 March 2024

• Players are permitted to compete at their current grade or above, but not at a lower grade.
• Competitors are required to have paid both their annual club subscription and TCCBC subscription.
• Competitors must have participated in at least five ordinary competitions since June 1st of the relevant year.
• The winner of any competition from the previous year must compete in a higher grade in the current year.
• Substitutions may be permitted at the discretion of the Committee, with such pairs being eligible for sessional prizes only.
• New members joining in the current year are exempt from these regulations.
• Any deviations from the above rules will be subject to the discretion of the Committee.

These Rules were reviewed and amended for the 2023 – 2024 bridge year and will continue until further notice.
