Summer Charity Pairs
The ECats Summer Charity Pairs sessions, supporting Kidney Research UK and the British Heart Foundation, take place w/c 6th July. We will be supporting the event, with our table money for those sessions increased to $8 online and £6 for F2F, so we can support these causes to the level we have been doing in recent years.

Club News - Tuesday evening F2F
TUESDAY EVENING HOSTING
The trial of our new hosting system was a success so the arrangement is now permanent. If you would like to play with a host on a particular evening, please let Barbara Rogers know by 4:30pm on that Tuesday at the very latest — phone number under "Where & When" in the "Club Information" section of the menu. Barbara will then contact the Host and ask them to come down to The Medway. They will be ready to come to Bakewell, but will be waiting at home to find out if they are needed.

Club Competitions 2024/25
This year's Leonora Wilson Trophy and the Bakewell Handicap Cup have now finished.
We'll be announcing the results at the AGM on 10th June.

Wednesday Afternoon Pairs
The Wednesday afternoon face-to-face sessions at The Medway are running well.
Play starts at 2pm so please be there by 1:45 to ensure a prompt start.
Refreshments are available throughout. Results are posted both with and without handicaps.
There will be a host so don't worry if you don't have a partner - we'll pair you up with someone.

Online Alerting
Alerting online in BBO is significantly different from face to face. We've written a guide under “Guidance for Playing” in our menu (on the left on a computer and at the top of the screen on a phone).
In summary, you alert all non-natural bids, not just up to 3NT, and you ALERT YOUR OWN BIDS.
Please also remember to give a summary of your system in the chat at the beginning of a round, have a summary on your profile, and post a convention card.
