It' s January, so do remember the possibility of winter weather when we may have to close at short notice. We have our emergency phone for you to contact us

on-line bridge team tournaments, supervised play, table hosting
Bagworth Community Centre
Bagworth Community Centre

We are a small and recently formed bridge group playing relaxed duplicate every Thursday afternoon and regularly have 6 tables.

Our Mission is to share and spread the game of bridge to local people for their enjoyment, health and well being in a safe and comfortable environment.

We aim to create friendly and informal bridge play and whilst currently not affiliated to the English Bridge Union, we arrange matters and expect play to conform to their standards and procedures.

Important Information

Coronovirus. With much regret we are suspending our duplicate bridge in line with national and English Bridge Union Guidance. We shall restart as soon as realistically possible. We wish all our members and future members good health during this period and look forward to seeing all of you soon.

Players of all abilities are welcome to join us. Visitors are always welcome and no partner is required. We usually play 18-21 boards in the afternoon. There is no formal break in play but refreshments are always available throughout the session and light lunches are available from the Whistlestop cafe before play commences. We are planning to use an electronic scoring system on each table and your results will be available on the web site. There are good parking facilities and the community centre has full disabled access. We have an emergency number for you to contact should players be held up or leave something behind.

Forthcoming Events

IMPROVERS WORKSHOP We are holding an improvers workshop and supervised play on Saturday April 4th. The theme for the day will be Extending the Bidding and Bidding and Reponding to weak twos. The day will be 10.00-4.00pm bringing your own lunch but tea and coffee available all day and all course materials will be provided...cost £10 but you need to book in and pay in advance. There are 16 places available and will go first to club members. Please contact Shelagh or Carol for an application.

Very sadly and with much regret that our improvers workshop is being postponed until the current health crisis ceases.
