72 Bridge Club - Competitions/Events for 2025

A Committee Meeting was held on Monday 8th September and some of the followings dates have been agreed:
2025
Sunday 7th December - Regional Pairs Competition in Mullingar at 1pm
Sunday 7th December - the 1st night of the Christmas Competition, Shamrock Lodge at 7.30 pm
Sunday 14th December - 2nd night prize giving in Shamrock Lodge at 6.30pm.
2026
Monday 5th January - back to bridge!
Sunday 25th January - Regional Teams Longford at 1pm (1 session)
Sunday 8th February - Gala pairs, Shamrock Lodge 5pm
Monday 9th/16th February - Club Championship
Sunday 1st March - John Cunningham Competition, Mullingar at 1pm
Monday 2nd March. - Sim Pairs, Shamrock Lodge
Sunday 8th March - Paddy Walshe Competiton, Shamrock Lodge at 5pm
Sunday 26th April - Regional Presidents Prize in Longford at 1pm

Presidents Prize ran over2 nights (12th & 19th May)
and was won by Margie Hannon & Ann Hogan.

50th Anniversary of Athlone 72 bridge club.
This event was held in the Shannon Shamrock hotel on 24th September 2022 and was well attended by present, past and founding members.
We were served a lovely 3 course meal followed by bridge.
It was a wonderful event and much enjoyed by all.
