Learning To Play

Bridge is not just fun, but is sociable, helps the memory and our overall well-being.  With face to face and online options, Bridge is a great flexible and affordable hobby.

From  September 16th to the end of March we run lessons for Beginners and for Improvers on Tuesdays starting at 10am. The lessons take place at our newly refurbished premises on Carr Street, Ashton Under Lyne, OL6 8ES.

Downstairs Julie and Sue run the Beginners lessons using the Red Book course "Beginning Bridge" developed by the English Bridge Union. Lesson groups are small and friendly and conducted in a relaxed atmosphere.

Upstairs Gordon and Mike run subject specific lessons for Improvers covering all aspects of Bidding, Defence and Card play. You can pick and choose which lessons to attend based on which parts of your game you feel need the most improvement!

From the beginning of April through to the end of August we invite both Beginners and Improvers to play in supervised sessions where anyone can ask the director for help on a particular hand.

Just contact Gordon on 07530 553594 or Julie on 07809 570106 to find out more
