LEARNING AND PLAYING BRIDGE IN ASHBOURNE

 

Ashbourne & District U3A

Ashbourne U3A runs 3 different Bridge Groups, designed to cater for all levels playing ability and experience. There is something for everybody - from the absolute beginner to the established bridge player. All groups offer a welcoming, supportive and friendly environment in which to learn and play bridge.

 

U3A Bridge Beginners Group

This group offers basic table top tuition in a small group. The focus is on learning the fundamental techniques of the game, to develop basic bidding and card playing skills. The group is ideal for those seeking to play bridge for the first time.

Meets Monday 13.30 -15.30hrs in Ashbourne Library. Contact Pat Dixon or Sue Edmonds through the following link.

U3A Bridge Improvers Group

This group offers the opportunity to develop and practice basic bridge skills in a relaxed playing environment where members can play at their own pace under guidance from tutors. Discussion and review is very much encouraged.

U3A Bridge Playing Group

This group welcomes established and socially engaging players who seek to play a competitive game of contract bridge in a friendly environment. The group embraces a wide range of playing abilities. Single players are very much encouraged as our host system ensures that appropriate and suitable partners will always be available.
