Congratulations to David Owen and Bob Holder, who won the Denys Jenkins trophy for the Swiss Pairs event run jointly by BBCBA and Hants & IOW on 30th November.

Thanks to everybody who participated in the Simultaneous Pairs event in aid of Children In Need - we raised a total of £255.

It is with sadness that we announce that Kathy Hughes passed away last weekend after a long battle with ill health. Kathy wasn't able to play at the club in recent years, but was a staunch supporter, representing Ascot in teams events, and most importantly was an absolute joy to play against, with her good humour and friendly personality to the fore. We extend our sympathies to her family and friends.

Well done to David Calcutt and Dave Green, who finished as runners-up in the County Green Point Swiss Pairs on 1st November.

To avoid congestion in Brownlow Hall car park, additional free parking is available at Warfield Memorial Ground, followed by a 5 min walk across the cricket outfield to Brownlow Hall.  Location is Osborne Lane, Warfield, best found using what3words https://what3words.com/deflection.dads.paid.  The nearest postcode is RG42 6EA (but this is not accurate to the parking area).

Ascot Bridge Club have moved to new premises at The Brownlow Hall, Warfield, RG42 6AB from 24th February 2022.

Ascot no longer provides polystyrene cups for tea and coffee.  Members and visitors are strongly encouraged to bring a reusable mug, which will help us reduce waste and our footprint on the environment.
