Allendale Bridge Club

In support of two local charities, we are holding a Swiss Teams event with afternoon tea in the Quarterjack Room at the Allendale Centre. There will also be a raffle for which donations would be very welcome. The charge for this event will be £12 for both members and non-members, and the profit will be split 50/50 between the two chosen local charities, which are My Time Young Carers and Millstream Theatre.  

We would also welcome any offers of help with the catering (sandwiches/cakes/savouries). Please speak to any committee member about what is needed. You will be reimbursed for your costs.

We do need to know the numbers attending for catering purposes.  You can enter as a single, a pair or a team by clicking on the link below. The deadline for entering is 16th October.

We offer formal face to face duplicate bridge lessons for beginners, based on the English Bridge Union course of approximately 20 x 2 hour lessons. This is based on the ACOL bidding system. Our courses for complete beginners start each January. The next batch of lessons, as part of the current course, are listed below. Most beginner training lessons come with free attendance at the following weeks bespoke coaching session - Click for Coaching flyer. Twice a year (Spring & Autumn) we advertise short courses for intermediate players looking to improve their game.

We provide Hosts for ourGentle and Social Duplicate Bridge sessions. Just come along, we will fix you up with a partner.

We try to provide hosts for our Online evening sessions on Tuesday & Thursday. Members wishing to volunteer, login then Click Calendar and Host Wanted. Regular non member players can email the club..
