A massive thank you to Rasmus Sojmark from SBC who donated two tickets to a Chelsea Home game in a box as the star prize for the raffle during the Festival week. 

The prize was won by Maria Hall. Maria's son and friend came to the Chelsea v Leicester game on Sunday 9th March. It was a great day, delicious food, champagne and a stylish way to watch football! Chelsea won which must be a good thing when you are in a Chelsea Box. 

Thank you to all those who bought tickets. The Raffle raised a huge amount of money.  

Monday 9th September - Sunday 15th September

This is a brilliant opportunity for all current and potential Bridge players to enjoy all of the game whilst raising money for Cancer Research UK. 

The Abbey Smith Bridge Club is offering a range of activities to try and cater for everyone. Please tell people about these events as it's a great opportunity to raise significant money for Cancer Research UK. 

Forms to book these events will be available shortly but do keep the dates free. If you would like to help with catering for any of these events, then your help would be gratefully received - I promise I'll make it fun too! 

Monday Evening - Free Bridge Taster Session with nibbles for anyone who doesn't currently play Bridge  7pm  A Donation to Cancer Research UK would be much appreciated.

Tuesday Morning - Abbey Smith will be going into a school to encourage some school children to learn to play bridge whilst advertising Cancer Research UK.  

Tuesday afternoon - Free Bridge Taster Session with nibbles for anyone who doesn't currently play Bridge  2pm  A Donation to Cancer Research UK would be much appreciated.

Wednesday daytime - Bridge Seminar with lunch for those who would like to improve their game   11am - 4pm £25 which includes a lovely lunch and special guest David Bakhshi, top England Player

Thursday daytime - Social Bridge fun for any bridge player to enjoy the game and enjoy lunch, raffle, prizes whilst raising money for Cancer Research UK 11am to 3pm  £20 per person, limited numbers

Thursday evening - Play with the experts. Have a fun evening partnering an expert at the game. 7pm £10 per person and an extra donation for an expert, see form for details. 

Friday afternoon - Our usual Club Duplicate, but with prizes, raffle, food and stay around for a drink at the club after. 2pm until 5pm or later for drinks usual £4.50 table money with Donations to Cancer Research UK

ALL money raised will go to Cancer Research UK  The Club will fund the hall hire and everyone involved is giving up their time for free.
