Handicaps for a team are the sum of the individual handicaps.
The AGM was held at the final on Sunday 22 April 2018 in Keswick. It was agreed that handicaps should have a similar structure for 2018/9 as in 2017/8. Except that negarive handicaps will be abolised. A further suggestion that a team difference be restricted to a maximum of 40 is now uneccessary. Handicaps will be fixed at the start of the season and remain in place until the final. These handicaps shall apply for all the round robin matches of 24 boards and also at the final where more boards will be played.
Fixing of handicaps will, where possible, be based on a player’s National Grading Scheme (NGS) rank where players are members of EBU affiliated clubs on the following scale:
Where players do not have a NGS rank the handicap will be based on their performance in the Murray League last year and/or their Bridge experience.
